Rudder for self-coached athletes.

No coach checking in on you. No one adjusting the plan when life gets in the way. That's where Rudder fits.

What goes wrong without a coach

You follow a plan but nobody adapts it when you sleep 4 hours, when work stress spikes, when your knee flares up. You skip sessions out of caution and lose fitness. Or you push through when you shouldn’t and get injured. Without a second opinion, every training decision carries doubt.

What current tools miss

Training plans are static — even “adaptive” ones adjust weekly, not daily. Readiness scores don’t know your plan. AI chatbots don’t track your decisions or learn from outcomes. Nobody asks how you feel before telling you what your data means.

What a coach would do

A good coach would: ask how you feel, look at last night’s sleep, check recent training load, consider the plan, weigh how important today’s session is, and make a call. That’s exactly what Rudder does — every morning, in 30 seconds.

How Rudder fills the gap

Feel-first check-in — the coach asking “how are you?”

Signal synthesis — the coach reviewing your data.

Conflict resolution — the coach making the judgment call.

Override tracking — the coach noting when you ignored advice.

Pattern learning — the coach who remembers your tendencies.

Weekly review — the coach’s end-of-week debrief.

What Rudder is NOT

Not a plan generator. Not a replacement for a coach who designs your periodization. Rudder is the daily decision layer between you and your plan — the part that a $200/month coach handles in your morning text exchange.

Frequently asked

Is Rudder a replacement for a coach?
No. Rudder doesn't write your training plan. It checks whether your body can execute today's plan given how you feel and what your data says. If you have a coach, we complement them. If you don't, we fill the 6am decision gap.
How is this different from just listening to my body?
You trust your body. You should. But trust has blind spots. The silent illness brewing under a great-feeling morning. The accumulated fatigue that hasn't surfaced yet. We watch the angles you can't see.
What if I don't follow a structured plan?
Rudder works with or without a plan. If you have one (TrainingPeaks, Intervals.icu), we read it. If you don't, the decision is based on your feel, your data, and your recent training load.

Your plan says what to do.

Rudder says whether today is the day to do it.
